What is Google DoubleClick ?

According to a normal person: - Press a computer mouse button twice in quick succession to select a file, program, or function.

According to an IT technician: - DoubleClick is a subsidiary of Google which develops and provides Internet ad serving services.

If you place an advertisement, one needs to know that the advertisement that he has placed has reached the target customers.

Double click acts as an intelligent system which allows a marketer to check whether the advertisement has reached the customers.

World’s top marketers, publishers, ad networks and agencies use Double Click products as the foundation for their online advertising businesses.

An Intelligent system (Double click) sorts out all the data and allows the marketer to check among various sections.

A Double click can tell the online publisher what sections of their sites, a customer is browsing.
Double click will then judge the type of ad you might like to see from what you're browsing.

For example, if you are on a news website and you visit the sports pages, then adverts for match tickets may be more relevant than makeup. This information belongs to the website owner only.

For e.g. if you want to show your add on sports pages between 12am to 5pm on every weekend for a particular period of time, then this forecasting tool will help you to know how many impressions are available for this specific request.

And the delivery engine will make sure that those impressions are delivered exactly the way requested.

Imagine printing a hard copy of your home page and cutting out all of the ad space. These empty spaces comprise your ad inventory and represent what you can sell to advertisers.

1. Define your ad inventory

it tells us how you sell the site's ad inventory with flexible inventory set-up and targeting expand your sales opportunities.

2. Sell your inventory to advertisers

You’re now ready to sell your ad inventory to advertisers. Confirm the number of ad impressions or clicks you have available to sell with inventory forecasting, agree on campaign terms, and reserve the inventory

3. Create your campaigns

Once you start selling parts of your inventory by creating an order, an agreement between you and an advertiser that includes an invoice number (optional), start and end dates, and contact information.

Each order includes one or more line items..

4. Maximize revenue (optional)

For any inventory you haven’t sold yourself,

One can Use Google Ad Sense, including Google Certified Ad Networks, to help fill unsold inventory or compete on price against your non-guaranteed inventory.

5. Deliver your ads

After uploading , your ads are ready to deliver.

Google's fast and reliable infrastructure and intelligent ad delivery engine helps ensure campaigns deliver on schedule and meet their campaign goals.

6. Measure performance

With your ads now delivering, check their performance with fast, flexible and robust reporting.

Optimize campaign delivery and uncover new opportunities.

How much money does double click make ?

Google bought DoubleClick for $3.1bn in 2008; since then its financials are combined with other parts of Google.

Google currently generates 96% of its revenue through its advertising products.

In 2011, it saw advertising revenues of $36.5bn, with $10.4bn coming from non-Google sites in its ad network.

What information is double click tracking?

Google explains how data is recorded from a generic Doubleclick cookie(is a tool). It looks like this:
time: 06/Aug/2008 12:01:32

ad_placement_id: 105

ad_id: 1003

userid: 0000000000000001

client_ip: 123.45.67.89

This tells Double click the time and date you saw an advert. It also shows:

userid: the unique ID number the cookie has given your browser.

ad_id: the unique ID of the advert.

ad_placement_id: the ID of where the advert was seen on the site. referral_url: what page you were on when you saw the advert.

Because it records your IP address,

How To Host Your Website For Free On Google Drive

well yea everyone knows that you need a server to host a website and for that one must buy a shared or private server from godaddy , hostgator etc and pay money . But there is an awesome alternative to host your static website for free where you don't need to spend money . The alternative is Google Drive where you can host both basic and complex javascript websites both . You can upload and public any content like CSS, HTML PAGES, audio, images, icons etc.

Host Website For Free With Google Drive

You can easily host a website on google drive if you are using the older version of google drive . All you need to do is first upload all your web files to the folder in google drive and set sharing permission for that folder as public so it can be accissible . Now open the file index.html in goole docs and you need to click on the preview option so that you can get the URL link of your website.

You will be disappointed to know that the new version of google drive doesn't allow web hosting feature, you can just upload all your web files to the folder in google drive but the publish option for website is gone .

Chill we have another way which will let you publish website on google drive in few easy and simple steps .

To Google Drive From Desktop In Simple One Step

All you have to do is keep all the website files into a zip file and click here, it will send you to the google drive webpage where you can upload your files . After uploading the files you will be getting a unique generated public generated URL of your website .

NOTE:- if you are using this for the first time you will be asked to click on the authorize button and confirm it as the scripts need permission to be uploaded to google drive .

Google scripts will be doing some hard work for you, one you click on upload you will see a new folder created in your google drive . Change the permission to public so that every one can access and new URL of googledrive.com is generated with the help of id of new folder .

You need to keep two things in mind while hosting a website on google drive that the main page of your website is index.html . It will be the home page and secondly you cannot point a custom domain to google drive, the structure of google drive will be like this :- googledrive.com/host/

The social networking giant Facebook which recently bought whatsapp said in a recent interview that they will not focus on Advertisment like it did with instagram , It'll not put weight on whatsapp rolling on the yearly 1 $ subscription charges also . In some country whatsapp charges 1 $ per year , The main focus is to connect people around the world with each other .

Facebook in recent time bought whatsapp for a wooping total of $ 19 billion . That includes cash of $ 4 billion and stock of $ 12 billion and reserved $ 3 billion for startup employees . Whatsapp CEO Jan Koum , Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook CFO David Ebersman said that there main focus is not to monetize for next coming years and when they monetize in future it won't be through Ads

Currently WhatsApp is the most prefered messaging service used by every one around the world . It has grown so rapidly that the number of Registered users is increasing every day . Currently WhatsApp has around 450 million users and their priority is growth and Mark Zuckerberg says that when they reach around 1 billion , 2 billion users there are many different ways by which WhatsApp can monetize and earn money .

Facebook app also currently doesn't monetize and Zuckerberg wants WhatsApp to become a business app and not just a project whose service people use to message each other .

Recently Facebook share came down by 5% and investors were worried why Facebook would invest so much money in a messaging app which has no revenue . But the CEO of whatsapp Koum said that they currently have 5 million users who subscribe and pay for the app but subscription is not their top priority and expanding the business is.

Right Now Facebook and WhatsApp want to ensure that they dominate the world of mobile messaging . The target is to increase the number of users .

It is a new age menace . 10 years ago people did not imaging about mobile phones and the technology we have right now , Every teacher now a days gets pissed off when they see students using mobile in class room . Few years back no teacher would have thought that they will punish students for using mobile in class.

A Student of Computer Science junior at Chico State University named Rob Richardson has come up with a very innovative idea to this class room mobile usage problem . He has developed a IOS app named Pocket Points for users which gives the students some rewards for not using mobile phone in the class room at a stretch for some time.

It is a win-win for Students , Faculties and the local shop keepers says Rob Richardson . He came up with this idea in 2013 but was launched in 2014 september.

The App functions in this way :-

When students attend the clsss they just need to turn on the app and keep the mobile phone away and start earning points , Once there class is done they can take off the phone and swipe the pocket point notification and unlock their phone . They can now see how much points they have earned .

The students can enjoy discounts at 15 local shops including some bar and pizza joints.

Their has been more than 1000 downloads till now and students at the campus are enjoying this cheat in class.

You earn one point for every 20 minutes . Team work can let students earn more point , More students using the app at one time gets you more discounts . Penn State University says that points can even be used to buy books at college bookstore and per 10 points you get 15% discount .

Awesome Innovation we must say !!

Today we are going to tell you some tricks on how to save more money when you are shopping online .

1) Use Price Comparison Websites

There are tons of shopping websites and it will take hell lot of time if you want to search for lowest price of a particular product on all the website . This comparison websites can give you best deals on the product you are looking for.

There is some downside with comparison website as all the products may not be listed on there website and hens you may have to try some other comparison website or surf more on the internet.

2) Use Discount Coupon Codes

Mostly all the shopping websites provide some extra discount coupon code which you can apply during check out of your final bill . You can search for this coupon code easily on google and there are many discount coupon website available where you can get latest live coupon with a lot of discount and offers .

The coupons are exclusive and are listed according to the expiry date . Retailmenot.com is an example of coupon website which has coupon of almost all the shopping stores including eBay , Amazon etc .

You should follow the habit of subscribing to the news letter and the forums to receive regular e-mail about discount on your favorite shopping site .

3) Set Price Alert

Yes with the high amount of discount offered by online websites you can use the price tracker to know if the price of the product in your wish list has dropped or not . You can put the product you want to buy in the Google Spreadsheet and with the help of tracker you can moniter the price .

4) Use The Power Of Social Media

Mostly all the online shopping websites use social media for marketing . They come up with all the latest offer daily and it is published on their social media pages like Twitter , Facebook etc . You can follow those social media updates and you can get good discount and offers .

5) Look For Price Online And Shop Offline

Not all websites give discount and offers . Sometimes you can get good offers at local stores as well . So all you need to do is have a look at the online price and go visit the local store , you can get good discount and say some money .

6) Use Different Browser

When you are surfing online on the internet the websites usually store the products you have searched for in your web browser in form of cookies and thus according to your geo location they give you offer and preference , so all you need to do is use a different browser so the shopping website will treat you as a new customer and not a returning customer .

7) Wait For Some Time There May Be More Offers Coming Up

There are few days allowed to the big shopping deals named Black Friday or Cyber Monday , Wait for some time and on such days you get a lot of discount , maybe at half the price . Even on the eve of festival you are offered great discount .... so just chill and wait for some time .

People who’ve been following our work will know that we’ve always tried to experiment with content be it on Youtube or a live comedy show, with the sole intent of making people laugh and/or think. AIB Knockout was another such attempt to try something new and bring the roast format to a country where celebrities aren’t often known to laugh at themselves. To our pleasant surprise, we managed to bring together consenting adults who were willing to be made fun of by other consenting adults in a crowd full of (wait for it) consenting adults. And if we’re honest, it was a phenomenally entertaining evening. Were the jokes repetitive? Crass? It didn’t matter because they happened in the spirit of irony and good humour. It was just liberating to be able to say those things, things that people have thought in one form or another privately for years. A lot of the laughter that night came from that spirit (there’s your answer, people who wondered why everyone was laughing at terrible jokes).

The video came with a clear disclaimer with several age and content warnings. No one was forced to watch it, we didn’t buy airtime on every single TV channel on Earth to broadcast it. YouTube videos do not magically auto-play in front of you. And yet the videos got over 8 million views. Far more importantly, on the video page, the people who liked them outnumbered the people who disliked them by ten times to one.

The format was the same as any international roast i.e. insult comedy, delivered in the form of one-liners designed to be as rude as possible. It is performed with the understanding that none of the material is to be taken seriously—none of the performers actually mean the “offensive” things they say to each other on the night. We clarify this simply to provide context.

With the Knockout, in our own juvenile, idiotic way, we wanted to push the envelope of comedy in this country. But then the envelope pushed back. Things got to a point where people who have supported us, people who work hard to make what we do come to life, were put in a position where things could get deeply unpleasant for them. And that’s a problem. We can live with abuse, hate, anger, fury, rage, ignorance, bigotry and perhaps even bullying. But we don’t want anybody to get hurt because of us. And we do mean anybody.

We hope it’s clear by now that we never write with the aim of hurting people. That’s not our goal and we daresay that no comedian ever does that. We don’t go to work and say, “Hmm, let’s offend XYZ people from XYZ community today.” If we really wanted to piss off people and hurt them, we’d be selling credit cards over the phone.

Our job is to raid the newspapers, pop culture and life for observations and analogies and it’s okay if you think we’re juvenile or unfunny. Over the last few days, we’ve found ourselves subject to more scrutiny, judgment and opinion than we’re worth. This Knockout shouldn’t matter. In a secure culture it wouldn’t matter.
We’re lucky to have support pouring in from all quarters. First up, from our fans, just the greatest people in the world, who have nothing but good cheer and encouragement and positive thoughts. We were pleasantly surprised that people in power who we have made fun of in the past, including people from both the so-called right wing and left-wing, went out of their way to convey support to us. It was fantastic to know that they stand for free speech as much as us. Friends in the media have told us to stay our course, pledging their support for our right to say anything, no matter how ridiculous. Thank you to anyone who has stated in the last few days that we have the right to say what we want, not as comedians but more importantly as citizens of this country.

There’s a larger cultural conversation going on here, where we’re at the very edges of what it’s okay to say. And it’s a conversation we need to have now because the world we live in is entirely too complicated to be run by silences. We still stand by our belief in the right to absolute freedom of expression for us and for anyone who has anything to say about anything at all. We hope to be part of an environment that supports that sort of expression without fear of persecution, intimidation and most importantly, annoyance. As always, in our own AIB way we’ll continue to strive towards creating that very environment.

In the meantime, we’d like to say thank you to our fans and everyone else who is standing by us. You guys make the struggle worth it. To everyone railing against us and against the stars that were present, to everyone who’s decided we’re destroying the fabric of our culture, to everyone who’s called us seditious pornographers while plotting the downfall of Indian Values And Civilization As We Know It, we would like to reiterate that we are just a bunch of comedians who work, and have always worked, without any malicious intent whatsoever.
