Note :- There were some issues installing odoo in windows 8.1 , prefer installing odoo in windows 7 as there were no errors installing it in that OS . For mac OS things get very complicated and messy so kindly use windows 7

we are going to show how to tutorials on odoo . we'hv installed some modules and will help you understand how they work and which all modules are inter connected .

We'hv created a dummy company names RGR enterprise which Manufactures Stationary products like pen,pencil,rubber,scale A4 size paper etc .

we'll start with all modules we'hv installed and from where we can install those modules.


First we installed SALES module which includes Products,Customers,Leads,Opportunities,Quotation and Sales Order.

The next this which is in sales is leads . it means they are potential customer for our business . we think that this customers can give us business and can convert it into opportunity


opportunities :- when the leads are likely to turn into customer they are said to be opportunities .

it comprises of 4 stages : new : second stage : proposition : negotiation



Quatation :- it is the detail review of the product and quantity,quality,features and its expected price


Sales Orders :- Sales Order is a confirmation document sent to the customers before delivering the goods or services

The sales order affects stock moves in the warehouse and customer invoice in accounting



Accounting Module

Customer Invoice :- A commercial document that itemizes a transaction between a buyer and a seller. An invoice will usually include the quantity of purchase, price of goods and/or services, date, parties involved, unique invoice number, and tax information. 

The sales order entry affects the customer invoice.


Customer Refund :- the finished goods which are not manufactured properly and have some fault in it are sent back to the company . the money is automatically deducted from the customers account



 this is a example of sales refund :- 500 rs has been reduced from dev dealers account because of sales refund

 Journal entry :- this is the record of all the transaction which has happened till now


Warehouse Module

This Module mainly includes procurements,stock moves and inventory adjustment

Procurements :- Procurement is the acquisition of goods, services or works from an outside external source. It is favourable that the goods, services or works are appropriate and that they are procured at the best possible cost to meet the needs of the acquirer in terms of quality and quantity, time, and location.

Manufacturing Orders :- To process or make (a product) from a raw material, esp. as a large-scale operation using machinery


Bill Of Material :-  A comprehensive list of raw materials, components and assemblies required to build or manufacture a product.
